Sam Green - Biography
Sam Green is a documentary filmmaker in San Francisco. His film “The Weather Underground” was nominated for an Academy Award, broadcasted nationally on PBS and included in the 2004 Whitney Biennial. Some of his other award –winning documentaries are “The Rainbow Man/John 3:16,” “N-Judah 5:30,” and “Pie Fight ’69.” Green has also received grants from Guggenheim, Rockefeller, Creative Capital Foundations and the NEA.
He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and is currently teaches at the University of San Francisco and at the San Francisco Art Institute.
